With the ever-rising population of India and the necessity of the document, not having an Aadhar card can cause a lot of problems. For many people, if receiving the Aadhar Card takes time, it may put a halt to many of their important and crucial work.

This article will guide you on what the E Aadhar card service actually is, whether it is valid or not, and if so, how can you download it (in multiple ways)

What is E-Aadhar Card

Considering all the aforementioned circumstances, the Government of India has introduced E Aadhar Card. The E-Aadhaar service allows residents to download a digitally signed PDF letter after their Aadhaar is generated, rather than waiting for the letter to arrive by post. Before accessing the E-Aadhaar site, the full 28-digit enrolment id (enrolment number with date timestamp all the way down to seconds), name, and pin code must be entered. (it is important for the person to not lose all these details). Security features such as a captcha, One-Time-Pin (OTP) on mobile, and so on are also implemented. Once the input has been verified, the resident can download a digitally signed PDF that can be shared with agencies and/or printed for use.

Is the E-Aadhar card actually valid?

YES, according to the Aadhar Act, the E Aadhar card holds an equal authenticity as the physical Aadhar Card. The same can be used for almost all official purposes until the physical copy is received. However, it is advised that you stay updated on the status of your physical copy and do not rely just on the digital one.
