Any two out of three unseen passages of 150 words followed by 5 multiple-choice questions for each passage (1 mark for each MCQ) to test comprehension.  
Section – B: Effective Writing Skills1545
In this section various questions on given input will be asked as under :  
i)    Letter writing on a given topic (1mark for address and 4 marks for content) However format to be taken care of.0511
ii) Summary of lesson from Text-book (about 60 words) Selected lessons for summary: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13,14,190511
iii) Writing a longer composition such as an essay, story and incident that the student has read/heard/experienced in about 100 words.  05  23
Section – C: Grammar (Theory and Application)2045
Variety of questions as listed below will be included involving the application of grammar items in syllabus:
a) Definition and examples of the following (Theory of Grammar)
Ibdal and I’laal (In Mithaal, Ajwaf and Naaqis)
Murakkab ‘Adad (Adad and Ma’dood), 1 to 100
Use of Asmaa’-Mausoolah
Khasiyat-Abwaab Al- Mazid Fih (If’aal, Taf’eel, Mufaa’alah,Tafa’ul, Istif’aal)
Jumla Shartiyyah
Jumla Nidaaiyah

b) Applied Grammar (any two of the following as MCQ pattern)   Correction of sentences
Fill in the blanks
Roots of the verbs
Formation of active participle and passive participle (All verb patterns)
Choose nouns, verbs and prepositions
